On my cruises while people dressed better in Luminae the suite restaurant, shorts were common for breakfast and lunch . After seeing most people without jackets on the first chic night, I didn’t have one on second, again this was last cruise in July. For Chic nights a long sleeve dress shirt and sports coat was the most common attire. There were some who dressed more formally with ties, or a suite, but I did not see very many tux’s. For warmer climates, pack swimsuits and cover-ups, walking shorts and shirts that protect from the sun, lightweight slacks, skirts or sundress, and a light sweater or jacket.
What to wear during the day on a Celebrity Cruise – Casual Dress Code
Jeans, T-shirts, and sneakers are not allowed during evening chic dining. The Disney evening dress code applies to the main dining rooms at dinner. The dress code for Palo, an adults-only specialty restaurant, slacks (including jeans) and collared shirts or jackets for men and dresses, skirts or pantsuits for women are appropriate. Cruise elegant on Carnival Cruises means dress slacks, dress shirts and optional sport coatsfor men and cocktail dresses, pantsuits and elegant skirts and blouses for women. You'll see suits and ties, tuxedos or evening gowns, but don't have to go so formal yourself.

While of course you’re welcome to stay in your swimsuit almost all day long on a cruise, there are certain occasions when Celebrity Cruises dress code requests otherwise. If you’re planning on doing a lot of walking around the ship during days at sea, it’s a good idea to pack a pair of sneakers or other comfortable walking shoes. Sneakers will also be useful if you try out a fitness class or use the gym equipment in the ship’s state-of-the-art fitness center.

Though not part of the official Azamara dress code, conservative clothing for port activities that involve museums, restaurants, and religious sites is recommended. It’s important to note that while formal nights are a significant part of the cruise experience, participation is optional. If you prefer a more relaxed evening, other dining venues and entertainment options are available where a smart casual dress code is sufficient. Most nights, Smart Casual attire is appropriate for dinner in the Main Dining Room(s). For 6 night cruises or less, there will be 1 Evening Chic night where women should feel comfortable in cocktail dresses, skirts, pants or designer jeans with an elegant top. Men should feel comfortable in pants, designer jeans, long sleeved or button-down shirt, sweaters, sport coats or blazers.
